The orange juice is DIVINE! Great pastries and amazing bagels. You won’t find a better ham and cheese croissant. The strawberry cream cheese and jalapeño cream cheese are also standouts. I was so confused that the rating wasn’t higher so I went to read the negative reviews and found them a bit laughable. The bagel shop has a long line so customer service is quick and efficient (not rude or cold). The team is gentle and the orders are done with intention and care. As an aside, I also found it bizarre that people would actively promote chains instead of local businesses or would think it’s okay to take photos of workers without consent.

I feel like I have already rated this place so I’m not sure why it is asking me again but busy bees is one of the local bagel shops in the neighborhood. I believe it is one of the only ones. It is average. The bagels taste like they are old. They are not fluffy but not chewy or hard either. They are bland in texture and taste. They don’t give you a lot of cream cheese here and when you do ask for extra cream cheese they charge you $2.40 which seems like an exorbitant amount. They are definitely not friendly. However I continue to go back here because the bagels or average and basically due to limited choices in the area I find myself frequenting the spot. The veggie cream cheese is so delicious.

Very good, classic, straightforward shop. Loved these bagels! The Loaded/Everything for a Turkey sandwich and Sundried Tomato were delicious. I also got a chocolate cream cheese muffin and a latte—amazing. Will be a go-to place for me.

I frequent La Jolla with my dog from National City; and I’ve been wanting to try this place. It’s super clean inside; and the owner (elderly Asian lady) id super nice. Lots of choices from bagels to pastries as well as drinks. I got the sausage egg and cheese on a sourdough and a plain bagel with cream cheese. Outdoor seating is available if you bring your pets

I have been coming to Busy Bee for years. It is my Saturday breakfast go to spot. I love their everything bagel egg sandwich. The Busy Bee team including Lee, Maya and Mimi are great and have been there for years. Thank you Team Busy Bee.
